Terms & Conditions

Emergency situations:

In the event of an emergency or non-emergency situation requiring medical treatment, I hereby grant permission for any and all medical attention to be administered to my child in the event of an accidental injury or illness. This permission includes, but is not limited to, the administration of first aid, the use of an ambulance, the administration of anaesthesia and/or surgery, under the recommendation of qualified medical personnel. If I cannot be contacted and my child should require emergency hospital treatment, I authorise a member of the Uplift staff to sign on my behalf any written form of consent required by the hospital. However I understand that every effort will be made to contact me as soon as possible.

By agreeing to these terms and conditions I also realise that I am agreeing to not hold Uplift or any of its staff or volunteers responsible for any injuries that my child may sustain while taking part in the Uplift program. I understand that my child is participating in this program at his/her own risk.

Sickness Policy:

We will continually monitor the situation in order to protect all children who attend our club and their families, as well as the staff that work here, we have put measures in place to ensure that everyone is kept safe and well.

Parents and Children before arriving to class:

If a child feels unwell with any form of illness they should not be brought to class. Children should bring their own water bottle. Where possible, it should be clearly labelled. Children with diarrhoea or vomiting should stay away from lessons until they have not been sick or had diarrhoea for at least 48 hours.

Behaviour:

At Uplift we expect our students to behave in a respectful manner towards themselves, others, to their teachers, and our staff. If a student is found to be bullying, disrespectful, or rude, we will contact the parents and discuss how we can work to change that behaviour. If an agreement cannot be reached, Uplift reserves the right to ask a student to take a break for a while, or to not return. The Company's full policy on bullying and welfare can be found in our Safeguarding Policy.

Uniform:

At Uplift we require our students to wear a Company t-shirt as part of our Saturday Academy programme which will be available to purchase before the start of the September term. We kindly ask that students purchase a Company t-shirt by October 31st 2026 and the form to register your child’s size can be found below. Students are asked to wear sensible trousers/leggings that allow for movement and are longer than mid-thigh. If students wish to wear skirts, we ask that they wear shorts underneath to allow for full range of movement. This will be available to purchase before the start of term and the request form can be found here: We kindly ask that students joining in September purchase a Company t-shirt by October 31st 2026.

Pick Up & Collection:

To ensure the safety of your child, we request that all parents collecting students who are in nursery-P3 come directly to the specific room to collect their child in person and to make sure they are signed out by a member of staff.

For students in P4-P7, we request that parents collect their child from the main door of the YMCA to ensure that staff can ensure they are signed out and have left safely. Given the limited parking surrounding the YMCA, we understand that some parents (only for parents of children in P4 and above) may wish for their child to walk to their car and so we will have a member of staff on the front door to make sure your child walks to your car safely. However, your car must be visible to staff and we kindly ask that you sign a consent form, allowing your child to leave the building without meeting you directly at the door. For students in 1st year and above, we request that you sign a consent form, allowing your child to leave the building without an adult present and make their own way home (e.g. the train/walking).
